These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the TradeSpec AI mobile application ("App") operated by Strukt Proto LLC ("we", "us", or "our"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms.
1. Description of Service
TradeSpec AI is an AI-powered code reference assistant for plumbing and HVAC professionals. The App provides AI-generated responses to building code questions, trade calculators, and related tools.
2. Important Disclaimer
TradeSpec AI is a reference tool, not an Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ). Responses are generated by artificial intelligence and may contain errors or outdated information. Always verify code requirements with your local building department and the adopted code edition before installation or construction. We are not responsible for any decisions made based on information provided by the App.
3. Accounts
You may create an account or use the App as a guest. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information when creating an account.
4. Subscriptions
TradeSpec AI offers a free tier and a Pro subscription:
- Free: 5 AI queries per month, all trade calculators
- Pro Monthly: $14.99/month — unlimited queries and all features
- Pro Annual: $119.00/year — unlimited queries and all features
Subscriptions are billed through your Apple ID account. Payment is charged at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse-engineer or extract the AI models or training data
- Systematically scrape or extract data from the App
- Share your account credentials with others
- Interfere with the proper functioning of the App
6. Intellectual Property
The App, its design, features, and content are owned by Strukt Proto LLC. AI-generated responses are provided for your personal and professional reference use. Building codes referenced in responses are the intellectual property of their respective publishers (ICC, IAPMO, etc.).
7. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, STRUKT PROTO LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of accuracy, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time for violation of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the App's settings.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
